W magazine is a great magazine with wonderful layouts and fantastic photography. This thick tabloid magazine with its rich pages uses lots of serif fonts on the front page. After a little bit of research I discovered that the font used for the logo is Benton Modern.
Within the magazine, fonts such as Grafik and Grotesk are also used. Lots of serif fonts, and slick slender type for headlines makes for a sophisticated look. The layout is open and airy. I love the grids used in the magazine.
