Movie Poster Series- Trey Beahm

"37 Movie Posters," is a movie poster series collection created by design Jerod Gibson, however the series only contains 22 iconic movie poster, perhaps maybe because the collection is still growing. Jarod has taken 22 films that have become known worldwide for many things, but in particular for their commonly referenced and used quotes and phrases, and taken these quotes and arranged them within an object that has also become iconic from the films.

The typography used for each line from the film is a sans serif font, and when placed alongside itself seems to fit perfectly whether it be right side up and turned on it's side. No matter how the text it placed, it all seems to be spaced out and lead appropriately for the target goal of the work. This typographical design places more importance on the popular quotes people have come to commonly use from these films, and the designer's choice on the font used adds an extra sense of modernity and coolness to these quotes. Even though each poster is unique, the repetitive style and consistent type use keeps them all fluent in the designers style.

Even for being all jumbled together, the text remains it's cleanliness and alignment throughout each poster. Given that most of these films are iconic because they have been around and remained favorites for many years, the target audience would most likely be an adult crowd that would smile as they skimmed all the famous lines.
