The Hoefler & Frere-Jones’ blog serves primarily as a
resource and collection of the typefaces produced by the Hoefler & Frere-Jones’
production company. The blog has a collection of new and old typefaces the
company has produced, usually along with a descriptive paragraph overviewing
the look and possible uses for the typeface.
In addition, the blog also contains short pieces about
various different designers and interesting works, which make use of one or
more of the typefaces provided by the company.
The website seems to be targeted mainly towards designers
and fans of the various typefaces produced by Hoefler & Frere-Jones. Being
a type blog, the typeface choices and layout are all very pleasing to the eye
and easy to follow, with all the links being easy to find and navigate. The
blog is a good resource for keeping up with the typefaces produced by the
company, or even just looking through the older typefaces as well. It seems
like it would be helpful in projects not only for showcasing various fonts that
you could use, but for also having examples from around the world that have
used the typefaces provided to great effect.
