Typography Now: The Next Wave
TYPOGRAPHY NOW: The Next Wave is a book about the recent technology explosion and how it has affected typography. No longer is typography reserved for specialists, but is able to be learned by any graphic designer. The book goes through some thoughts by famous designers on the impact the technological age has had on typography and their experiences with typography. The book also displays various book designs/posters with type. The physical quality of the book is rather plain. It is a hard cover book with an off white textile fabric covering it. There is a vertical type treatment on the cover where the “typography” and the “now” both have chunks missing out of it. The color choices for the overall tone of the book were a yellow and blue which gave it a playful feeling. The typography for the publication information in the book was done all vertically as to mimic the front and create cohesiveness.
