Pioneers of Modern Typography, written by Herbert Spencer, is a book about graphic design history with typographical experiments. There is no variations between letter forms because the typefaces used in this book have san serif classification. The square shape and short book has images which contain type and geometric shapes similar to the Bauhaus and De Stijl movements. It is a book specially for graphic designers who want to know more about the New Typography movement.
The use of typography and visual graphics in this book emphasize the beginnings of the history of graphic design. I like how artists from the early 20th century, with the use of simple shapes - squares, circles, rectangles - created beautiful graphic design. I would like to create something similar.
