HOW Magazine, Kirsten Alexander

HOW magazine is a design magazine that showcases the work of the winners of their design competitions. The magazine also covers news and tips and sometimes introduces new typefaces.

I chose this spread because not only is the spread itself clean and organized, the pieces have great type. There is just the right amount of negative space and the arrangement of the captions are inspired by the National Typographic style. There is appropriate hierarchy and the page is easy to navigate.

The headline and titles are set in Parisine Plus and the body copy is in Fairfield.
