Waddill - Meet Me at the Center of the Earth

Meet Me at the Center of the Earth is an exhibition that was held at the Seattle Art Museum in spring of 2011. It represents art by Nick Cave who designs suits that take on a characteristic all their own which he calls Soundsuits. The title is quirky which easily matches the quirkiness that is this exhibition.  Not only does this exhibition have some sculpture-esque art, but it also has performance art. People dressed in these costumes come out and dance or perform a skit of sorts. People have described his Soundsuits as "a cross between Carnival, Liberace, Shonibare, Cockney, haute couture and African ceremony." It is a bright and colorful exhibit that looks like it would have been amazing.
