The National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg,
Texas is among the finest Second World War museums in the country, and the only
exclusively dedicated to the Pacific theatre of WWII and Admiral Nimitz, Commander in Chief of the U.S. Pacific Fleet.
The museum addresses many diverse relevant aspects of WWII in the Pacific Area of Operations. The indoor section of the museum features several enclosed areas and environmental displays, while the items on display outdoors contain various aircraft, tanks, aquatic vessels, as well artillery. The Japanese Garden of Peace, planted by actual Japanese gardeners as a post-war symbol of concord, is also located within the grounds and serves to give a ongoing closure to this event in history.
