Paige Leopold - Grid Example

I decided to write my blog over one of the places that many people visit several times a day which is Facebook. The newsfeed page follows a simple and easy to navigate three column system. In this grid system, information is arranged in vertical columns and this format makes the website very flexible because the columns can be dependent on the running text. This also can be labeled as flowlines which allow the accomodation of unusual text or image breaks on the page. The flowlines also create horizontal bands that help your eye guide across the format easily.

A person's personal profile page also follows the three system grid as well but with a slightly different format. The two left columns are drastically larger than the right column which is often used for ads.
