Grid example on the web // Taylor Deppisch

I found an example of a grid used on...where else but the grid system website! [www.gridsystem.org] This is a zoomed out version of the websites homepage.

As you can see, they clearly use the modular grid for this website. The information is neatly separated into 6 evenly spaced columns, with even width horizontally as well as even width vertically.

One thing I thought was cool about this website is that since it it a learning tool, it actually allows you to press a button that shows the grid on the website:

Even though its blatantly obvious what type of grid was used, I liked that they showed that visual and had the option to see that. The website is clean, simple, easy to navigate, and not distracting. The simplicity of the modular grid allows for a pleasing user experience and the website is educational as well.
