Museum - Daniel Seong

I chose MoMA in NYC, because last summer I visited there and was amazed when I walked out. It was really cool to see all the modern and contemporary art that I've seen only from textbooks in real life. So The Museum of Modern Art is located in 11 West 53 Street New York, NY, and it is one of the popular art museums in New York. The collection in this museum is huge. There are so many artworks from every modern art movement. Van Gogh, Picasso, Seurat, Malevich, and Warhol's works are memorable for me.
I liked how the name of the museum is vertical and attached to the mirror glass, creating an interesting shape with its reflection.
I took these pictures when I visited last summer.

Right now, they have 3 main exhibitions going on. Inventing Abstraction, 1910-1925 exhibition has the first abstract pictures from Kandinsky, Kupka, Picabia, and Delaunay, celebrating the new type of artwork, taking back to the time where the abstraction movement was developing. The title for this exhibition is consists a very simple design. It is san serif type face, and looks like it is condensed. They only used three colors, white, oragnge, and black. The letters are very organized, lining perfectly. Second exhibition is Wolfgang Laib's Pollen from Hazelnut. The artist gently sifted eighteen jars of hazlenut pollen, that he gathered for several years, and made it into a simple rectangle. It is installed on a raised platform in Moma. Third exhibition is Edvard Munch: The Scream, one of the famous artwork from Expressionism movement.
